Great News !

I am proud to announce that I have been invited to the last Blip Festival NYC before the end of the world ! The Blip Festival is the world’s premier international chipmusic event. Produced by 8bitpeoples as usual, the next edition will happen in New York, NY from May 25 – 27, 2012. I’ll have the wonderful opportunity to play with the best chiptunes artists hailing from Japan, the Netherlands, Canada, and the US:

I spent these last 2 days at the festival Rock en Seine with the Dataglitch crew. Divag, Bitcrusher, Confipop, Gakona and me played music and presented circuit bending to the masses. Around 100 000 showed up during the three days of festival with cool bands like Foo Fighters and Battles. We were just near the biggest stage, in a booth sponsored by Converse.

On Saturday, I played right after Mike Skinner (The Streets) in the afternoon. In the evening, there was a little party for kids where I played during Grampamini set, covers of TTC and Bit Shifter. On Sunday, I played after Simple Plan and before my Chemical Romance ! Tsugi Mag went by the booth and quite enjoyed my techno bangers as they stated on twitter.

I had a wonderful time playing there ! You can see a leaked video of me on Youtube, I will give you just one hint: I was tagged as “Video Game Dj”.

This week end, I was playing in Hungaria, as part of Budapest Micro IV ! I would like to thank you every single person who came over and the people who made this wonderful event possible. If I could sum up the night in one word I would say Kanagawa. Kanagawa is Áron Birtalan new band. They take you on an experimental post-rock-electro sea of indescribable waves. That was one of the many highlight of the night ! I also had the wonderful opportunity to play right before Sabrepulse. Check this video of him introducing my set.

I am the last update of Ego Twister’s Movie ruiner compilation !! I choosed to cover Vangélis’ Classic Blade Runner End Theme. For this I only used SNES samples and tried to be as faithful as possible but added a little dancey vibe to it. You can get the full compilation HERE.
